Pedometers
Devices to track how far you walk. Having a goal of walking a certain number of steps, like 2000 extra a day (1 mile), is more effective than trying to walk 30 minutes a day because you are more likely to skip a walk if you can afford the 30 minutes. When your goal is more steps you can always find more steps. Using a pedometer you can count the number of steps you take and that's practical and motivating.

This is a very cool device. We've used it and like it a lot. It's very accurate even over difficult terrain. What is really bad about their system is that they make you buy an expensive subscription service to access the data on your device. If the price is OK with you then go for it. If not, I would skip it. They really should have an affordable way to access your own data.
